"This hotel was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The check-in was fast, and the staff were super friendly. My room was cozy with a soft bed and nice lighting. Everything worked well—TV, shower, AC. I had a great night’s sleep… mostly. Around midnight, I heard a soft tapping behind the wall, like someone lightly knocking. At first, I thought it was the pipes, but then I heard a whisper. It wasn’t scary—more like someone saying hello. The ghost didn’t bother me, just made the room feel kind of… old and mysterious. I even said “goodnight,” and I think it whispered back. If you like a quiet hotel with a little spooky charm, this place is perfect. Great price, great location, and a ghost who seems pretty chill"

"The hotel is in a very good location, very close to Jalgachi station. The rooms are a bit dated but super spacious and the beds have heated mattresses. Although it is not a very new hotel, the cleaning is very thorough and the environment is generally clean. The bathroom has hot water 24 hours a day, and the water volume is large. There is a convenience store downstairs from the hotel, making shopping very convenient Jalgachi Market and BIFF are just 300 meters walking distance away."

"The room was fantastic! My friend and I booked a single bed because it was cheaper, but keep in mind that these rooms are designed for couples and have translucent shower doors! The refrigerator had cups, instant coffee and tea, and two bottles of water. The room also had a kettle, hairdryer, robes, and slippers. The complimentary toiletries included two condoms (we took them as souvenirs), toothbrushes, cotton swabs, a hair tie, and more. The location is fantastic! It's close to the subway, train station, bus stops, and grocery stores. You can top up your WOWPASS account at another hotel across the street. If I come to Busan again, I'll definitely stay here!"

"I came here again because it was fine the few times I've been there before! Due to the nature of dormitories, you have to be considerate of snorers. 6th floor living room (Nintendo games, etc.) 7th floor dining room (books, seating for over 30, plus a kitchen) I really like this. This isn't a party guesthouse, but a guesthouse should have a comfortable common area like this! With so many people coming and going, they remembered me! I've been to a few guesthouses in Busan, and this one is by far the best! I'll have a great stay again. Thank you!"

Outstanding
GGuest UserA great hotel with spacious and stylishly decorated rooms. Complimentary snacks and instant noodles were provided in the room. Its location is excellent, within walking distance to both metro and bus stations, making it easy to explore various attractions. The front desk staff were very helpful, even assisting with calling a taxi. The only minor drawback was the breakfast. It was delivered to the room door in a basket, which looked elegant, but the variety was quite limited and not as filling as a buffet breakfast. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

KKristina_MinThe service was great — we got a check-in without any problems, the video instructions on how to get to the hotel from KTX and how to store luggage in the storage were helpful, and the hotel itself is located in a very convenient manner. It took us about an hour to get to the main spots of out interests — Gwangnalli Beach, Songdo Beach, Gamcheon Culture Village and so on. Also the room itself was amazing — really comfortable beds, shower with all amenities, nice massage chair. Amazing view from the windows! Great place to stay for a couple of nights in Busan.

SstrawberrierSpent over 4,000 for a four-day stay. Overall, I was satisfied, but it didn't offer great value for money. Both its advantages and disadvantages were quite clear. **Pros**: The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to Haeundae Beach. It's within walking distance to the popular 'sky capsule' train station platform and X the Sky for night views. The area also has plenty of restaurants, an Olive Young store, a snack street, and convenience stores. The front desk lobby offers beautiful sea views. The staff's overall service attitude was warm and welcoming. Most of them spoke basic English, so communication was perfectly fine even without knowing Korean. Breakfast offered a decent variety of dishes, though it wasn't overly extensive – which I didn't mind, considering we were in Korea. When it got busy, the food was replenished promptly. I'd recommend the Busan pork soup. The sea view from the third-floor lounge is stunning. A thoughtful addition is the guest pantry, perfect for enjoying snacks purchased from convenience stores. **Cons**: The room's furnishings were too basic, almost like a budget hotel. The layout was also impractical, with insufficient space for belongings if you have more than a few items. This is something to consider if you're particular about room amenities. Additionally, the room's soundproofing wasn't very good; noises from the hallway were clearly audible.

GGuest UserClean and comfortable place. It's just 50 meters from Busan station. The staff is polite and helpful. My room was tiny, but that's ok. I like the spaceship-style bathroom. Very cozy. Also, there's a cheap laundromats at the 1st floor. Overall, this is a good and convenient hotel for travelers. I'd stay here again.

GGuest UserIt was fine, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. Easy walking distance from Busan Station and bus stops/metro, with lots of coffee shops around. However there are some negatives. A staff member verbally disclosed my (solo female) room number in front of another guest while checking in, which is not a safe practice. Storage space in the room is very limited - there are no drawers or cupboards at all, and no luggage rack so you can unpack your suitcase on either the floor (very little space) or the bed (unhygienic). The aircon turns off when the keycard isn’t inserted so the room is hot when you return from being out (and housekeeping will remove the card if you leave it in.)

GGuest UserBooked a room with ocean view, and the staff is kinda to give me the highest floor (31st floor). The view is breathtaking! Loving the sound of the sea at night and the cool ocean breeze in the day. You can open the door to the balcony to enjoy the ocean view fully. The room is clean, quiet, and spacious. I like that the hotel is environmentally-conscious, so there’s no disposable amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush, comb etc. it’s good to bring your own for your stay here. The room provides leather slippers and 3 bottles of drinking water. The table is long so there’s plenty of space for working. The location is fabulous. Downstairs there’s a coffee and a bar. There’s also an olive young shop and a 23-hour pork soup shop about 50m away. Haeundae beach is about 50 m away. It is about 150m from Haeundae station. This street has a lot of shops that open late at night, and several convenience stores.

GGuest UserFantastic location. Hotel is located right behind the main shopping street is a quiet area. Basic amenities like auto refilling drinking water machine and coffee machine. There is also a small 'hole in the wall' shop just outside the hotel selling fabulous French crepes. Only complaint is the lousy attitude shown by the manager. I booked for 3 nights with another extension for 4 nights (7 nights in total). I stated that I use a mobility device because of my disability in the booking. During check in, upon seeing me, he made feel very unwelcome. He told me to find other hotels and asked me to cancel my booking, claiming that my mobility device will spoil the room. Such a ludicrous remark to make. We had a heated argument eventually as I was very upset a him for being discriminatory. i insisted in staying as it was fully paid. It was my first time in Busan, thus I don't wish to spend my holiday looking for hotels. Btw, the room was perfectly fine. Never felt so unwelcome in my life. Location is its only saving grace. However there are numerous hotels around the area after we got to know the place better.

GGuest UserI recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Elephant in Busan, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Located conveniently within the city, the hotel serves as a great base for travelers looking to explore Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods, beaches, and culinary spots. From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character. Check-in & First Impressions: Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel. Room: I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area. The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value. Amenities & Services: While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it. Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything. Location: This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night. Staff & Hospitality: Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected. Overall Impression: Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.

CChristian ItalyThe guesthouse is on the 3rd and 4th floor accessible through an elevator. We self checked-in and never met anyone which was a bit sad. There were many messages around about rules and many surveillance devices. We could use the shared kitchen with microwave, hot water etc. The room was ok, spotless, smoking free (like the entire guesthouse) and had what we needed: heating, hot water, window. Location wise is conveniently close to many bus stops and metro too. Cons: Strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom which was unbearable. Small towels. Window not well insulated, at night it was cold. Thin walls, we could hear noisy guests from nearby rooms.
